The Skating Association of Maine, in conjunction with USA Hockey & New England Warriors Sled Hockey Team is pleased to announce "Try Sled Hockey for Free" event for any young adult or youth with disabilities.

USA Hockey will provide all the required equipment during this event including sleds and sticks.  Members of the New England Warriors Sled Hockey Team will be on-hand to assist with getting on the ice and teaching the fundamentals of sled hockey.  No previous experience is required.

The event will be held from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM at the Camden National Bank Ice Vault located at 203 Whitten Road, Hallowell, Maine on Sunday, 31 March 2019.  Refreshments, food and giveaways will be provided during the event.

The New England Warriors are a chapter of the USA Warriors Ice Hockey Program, The USA Warriors and New England Warriors programs are designed for the rehabilitation of wounded, ill and injured service members and Veterans.  We are a private, non-profit organization dedicated to educating, training, motivating, and encouraging the formation of “USA Warrior Hockey Programs” locally and nationally while encouraging Active Duty Military, Reserves and Veterans who have physical disabilities incurred during service to the United States to participate in the sport of ice hockey in an environment that is adapted to the level of their ability.
