Dina Wolff Named Delmarva Warriors Skating Coach

Dina Wolff

Dina Wolff grew up in the DC Maryland area and where she trained as a competitive
figure skater. She began teaching skating while attending college in Boston and had a
great experience working for the Boston University Hockey team video-taping their
home games. Her interest in speed and the complexities of the game drew her to the
fundamentals of power skating for hockey. After earning her degree in education, she
moved back to DC Maryland where she taught group and private skating lessons at
area rinks. Her knowledge and understanding of skating techniques and attention to
strength, stamina, and power drew area private, public middle and high schools, youth
leagues, house and travel teams to hire her to work with their players during the
season. She trained in Toronto, Canada with high level skating pre-season and
pre-tryout camps for Canadian players to gain more knowledge on the techniques of
skating for the game. Dina has conducted successful on ice and off ice clinics for high
level travel, college and junior level players. In addition she was the head power
skating coach for different summer hockey camps and clinics in the DC metro area and
in Telluride, Colorado. She specialized in power skating for ice hockey from 2000 until
2018, at which time she decided to stop coaching after having complications from back
surgeries. After years of rehabilitation and hard work, she is back skating and is on the
ice doing what she loves… working with hockey players of all levels.
Dina believes in giving back to the community as over the years, she volunteered with
many organizations. She worked on the ice with the warrior stand up and sled hockey
players in Rockville, Maryland and she ran a skating program for outpatient Walter Reed
and Bethesda Naval Hospital wounded veterans. While living in Florida, she
volunteered and worked on the ice with the Tampa Bay Lightning sled hockey teams.
She did volunteer work with QL (Quality of Life) Plus, a non-profit organization for
wounded veterans and first responders.
Dina’s ultimate goal is to make players strong, agile, balanced, quick, conditioned, and
most of all confident. She believes in the building blocks of fundamentals and
technique. Her quote: “The better a player skates, the more confident they are when
they are playing the game.”

Nicole Yanaitis Named Marketing Director Delmarva Warriors

Nicole Yanaitis

Hello Everyone! My name is Nicole Yanaitis and I am aiding the Delmarva Warriors as a marketing aide! I am very honored and excited to have the opportunity to work with this amazing organization, players, and volunteers to provide a space for everyone to feel included on and off the ice!

I started skating when I was young and found a passion for it immediately! Figure skating became my life. Many of my days were then filled with time spent in the rink (thanks mom and dad!) As I got older, I started to fall out of the sport. I began working at the Centre Ice Rink and it all came back!

My spark for skating drove me to begin helping teach learn to skate classes, get involved in the youth hockey community, and get involved with the Warriors program.

Skating has brought me a sense of purpose, allow me to make friends that turned into family, and opened my eyes to an entirely new world.

I am so excited to have this opportunity and am honored to watch this program grow!
